The Pearson Test
of English Academic (PTE Academic) is a computer-based English language test
which focuses on real-life English used in academic surroundings and is
designed to assess the readiness of non-native English speakers and is endorsed
by the Graduate Management Admission Council. As the tests are completely
computerized, the PTE results and scores are declared much quicker and hence
preferred by students who are in a bit of a rush.
OET
Occupational English Test, more popularly known as OET, is an English Language Test designed solely for healthcare professionals and workers. This test is organised by BLA, i.e, Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment. This is an association between Cambridge English and Boxhill Institute.
It is conducted in order to select the right level of English proficiency which helps the healthcare professionals to provide safe and high-quality care.
