Introduction
Eligibility
The Educational Testing Service (ETS) does not specify criteria regarding TOEFL Exam eligibility. Anybody who needs to demonstrate English language proficiency can appear on the exam. In general, it is taken by non-native English speakers who aspire to study/work abroad and for immigration purposes. However, the general criteria are furnished below:
Qualification: Applicants who have passed 10+2 from a recognized institute can apply for the TOEFL exam. It simply means that anyone who has passed his 12th can appear in the test.
Age: Candidates must be over 18 to appear in the exam. Those under 18 can appear after accompanying their parents during the registration process.
Documents: On the day of the exam, you need to contain your valid ID with a recent photo and signature. In addition, you need to carry your original passport. Besides, you need to show the national ID at the exam centre.
Follow the steps below to register for the TOEFL exam:
1. Create an account on the ETS website
2. Fill out basic details such as name, date of birth number, etc.
3. Select the suitable test date and location
4. Pay the exam fee, and it's done

Format
The TOEFL exam has four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing, each lasting two hours. Test-takers must evaluate and answer 48 questions and complete 6 tasks. The tasks are integrated and test more than one skill, with scores ranging from 0 to 120.
It is recommended that students prepare for the exam by studying the exam format and content and by taking practice exams to become familiar with the test-taking process. By achieving a strong score on the TOEFL, students can demonstrate their English language proficiency and increase their opportunities for academic and professional success.
