Format

GMAT is a computer adaptive test that lasts 3 hours and 7 minutes and comprises both objective and subjective questions. The students need to evaluate and answer 80 questions. These questions are based on Integrated Reasoning skills, Quantitative skills, Verbal skills, and Analytical Writing Assessment.

However, the duration of the GMAT Focus Edition has a time limit of 2 hours and 15 minutes, which is divided into three sets of 45 minutes each. Moreover, one can take a break of 10 minutes if required. It has the following three sections:

1. Quantitative Reasoning – 21 questions

2. Verbal Reasoning – 23 questions

3. Data Insights – 20 questions

Test Preparation

This is the first section of the exam, which assesses candidates' thinking ability and effectiveness in communicating their ideas. Therefore, candidates need to write one essay critically analyzing the given argument in 30 minutes.

FAQ

GMAT focus edition is the latest and updated version of the standard exam. It is shorter in duration (2 Hours, 15 minutes) and has three sections instead of 4. Moreover, it has an additional feature for reviewing and editing, which wasn't available in the standard versions.
