Format
The test duration is for 3 hours and test scores are reported on the Global Scale of English from 10 to 90 with reference to the widely known set of levels distinguished in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or CEFR.
Test Preparation For PTE Training
PTE Academic evaluates the listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills via computer in a single three-hour test session. The test will have twenty different question formats, ranging from multiple choice through to essay writing and interpreting information and assesses real-life, academic English in a range of different accents that one will encounter in everyday life.
This test one’s reading skills. This 30-40 minute section contains an assessment of 15-20 independent and integrated skills depending on the combination of items in a given test. The format of questions in this section include multiple-choice, re-order paragraphs, and fill in the blanks. It is also important to note that this part also assesses writing skills.
Students will be tested on writing skills for a duration of 77-93 minutes. The writing part will require one to write responses in academic English using proper grammar and spelling.
Students will be tested on speaking for a duration of 77-93 minutes. Speaking will be assessed on one’s ability to speak English in an academic environment.
The final part consists of questions that are based on audio or video clips that begin to play automatically and questions like summarizing, multiple-choice, fill in the blanks, missing word and dictation are the kinds of questions that are asked for this part.
