About the Course
The study of pharmaceuticals deals with dispensing medication as well as production, and correct utilization of drugs. Students who aim to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy must have a science background in their high school and qualify for English exams such as TOEFL or PTE or IELTS. To apply to a Master’s in Pharmacy students must have a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or in a related subject including Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology or Molecular Biology. Additionally, many graduate programmes require you to be registered as a practising pharmacist or have some experience in the pharmaceutical industry. A Pharmacist requires knowledge of technical English skills as there are a lot of medical and chemical terms one must be familiar with. Most universities accept the following language exams and minimum scores: TOEFL- 570; IELTS: 6.5 – 7.0; C1 Advanced: 180. Also, most foreign Pharmacy programmes do not accept applicants with a GPA lower than 4.5 or D. Another measure is CGPA. The minimum CGPA for which is 2.50 if aspirants come with 2 years of work experience in a relevant field, and 2.75 if there is no work experience.
