Economics

About the Course

Economics is a social science discipline that examines the multiple issues that impact financial segments of societies. Subjects range from production to consumption of goods and services and focus on how the world’s resources are utilised and distributed among organisations and countries. To get the overall picture, aspirants must get a good grip on different strands of politics, history, geography, law, sociology, and psychology at both a micro and macro level. Economics is divided into two veins: microeconomics and macroeconomics. While Microeconomics studies the behaviour and exchanges between individual entities like households, companies, buyers and sellers, macroeconomics focuses on entire economies on a national or global scale and studies employment, inflation, economic growth, and monetary and fiscal policies. Most economics courses abroad lay emphasis on case-based learning, giving students the ability to solve problems that different economies of the world face today. Economics aspirants can specialise in different fields of economics like Business Economics; Econometrics; Applied Economics etc.
