The University of Utah Asia Campus, or “the UAC” as it is commonly known, is one of the founding institutions of the Incheon Global Campus. Students here receive a University of Utah degree, while being taught and mentored by high-caliber faculty appointed at the University of Utah in South Korea. The undergraduate students spend three years studying at the University of Utah Asia Campus in South Korea, and one year studying in the Salt Lake City campus in Utah. Graduate students also spend one year at the Asia Campus and one year in the Salt Lake City campus to complete their degrees.
The University of Utah Asia Campus offers five undergraduate majors in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Communication, Psychology, Film and Media Arts, and Urban Ecology. We also offer two graduate majors in Public Health and Biomedical Informatics
The university ranks among the top 50 U.S. universities by total research expenditures with over $518 million spent in 2015. 22 Rhodes Scholars, four Nobel Prize winners, two Turing Award winners, eight MacArthur Fellows, various Pulitzer Prize winners, two astronauts, Gates Cambridge Scholars, and Churchill Scholars have been affiliated with the university as students, researchers, or faculty members in its history. In addition, the university's Honors College has been reviewed among 50 leading national Honors Colleges in the U.S. The university has also been ranked the 12th most ideologically diverse university in the country.
