The Diploma programme content follows the Enhanced Food and Beverage WSQ Framework, Pastry and Bakery progression track by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
Term 1 comprises full day classroom learning and hands-on practicum in At-Sunrice. There is no allowance in Term 1.
Term 2 and Term 3 consists of 1-week classroom learning (study) and 2-weeks apprenticeship (work) rotation. Students apprentice at one Asian and one Western restaurant for a period of 6 months each. Term 4 comprises full day classroom learning and hands-on practicum in At-Sunrice. Term 5 consist of 6 months Singapore Industrial Attachment (SIA) or Overseas Industrial Attachment (OIA). International students may choose to do their industrial attachment in their home country via Own Country Industrial Attachment (OCIA).
All students receive S$800 a month for apprenticeship and SIA allowances. In addition, Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents receive 6 months training allowance for apprenticeship from SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy is an EduTrust-certified institution that cultivates global chefs and F&B professionals in an environment of culinary authenticity. The Academy imparts skills and knowledge in East and West, Old World and New World cuisines, herbs and spices, innovation and technology. A synchronised study-apprenticeship rotation enable the students to expand their horizons beyond the classrooms, maximising their employability and preparedness for careers as global chefs and F&B professionals upon graduation.
Since 2007, At-Sunrice has been recognised by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) as a CET Institute for Culinary and F&B Management. It has also signed degree articulation agreements with renowned educational institutions including Johnson & Wales University (USA), the University of West London (UK), Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong. Students can choose from a range of degree and nationally-recognised diploma, certificate, modular, assessment-only-pathway (AOP) and continuing education modular programmes suitable for their level of experience and commitment. Students who are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents signing up for WSQ programmes receive up to 95% tuition subsidy.

The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore. Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass. They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.
