3D Art Design is the creation of 3D static and animated models through computer software. 3D Art is heavily featured in animated films by the likes of Pixar and Disney, and can be seen in many modern video games.
We teach some of the most popular 3D modelling and sculpting software include Maya, Cinema4D and Blender. We are also proud to be a certified Houdini partner, giving you access and support to one of the best 3D tools around.

Founded in 1998 and nestled in the heart of Auckland City, Media Design School is the most awarded digital design school in New Zealand. It’s also the first ever 3D animation and visual effects school in the Southern Hemisphere.
The school offers several programmes across varied disciplines such as creative advertising, games, motion graphics, interactive, AR/VR, graphic design, 3D animation and visual effects. It also offers postgraduate programmes in design.
During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations. After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa. After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
