One major emphasis of the M.A. programme is put on the interaction between theoretical knowledge and its practical application. This approach is underscored by the internship phase within the M.A. programme. The M.A. programme builds on the students' broad general understanding of the field and offers them the chance to acquire a more specialized advanced qualification that prepares them for high-level management positions in an international business environment. To achieve this, the programme aims to introduce students to the field of international management by shedding light on the following aspects: business strategies, human resource policy, ficing and legal issues. The course curriculum therefore focuses on the key areas of business and enterprise management. Students spend at least twelve weeks studying abroad as part of a work placement scheme. In the final phase of the programme, students compile their Master’s thesis and present their core findings in the associated research colloquium.

We combine theory and practice. Our 48 courses include a practical study phase in a company. Students can thus put their theoretical knowledge from university directly into practice and make initial contacts in the world of work.
Our university is regionally anchored and internationally oriented. Whether it's about improving foreign language skills, acquiring intercultural skills, discovering other countries or enriching your CV with valuable experience: with partner universities worldwide, our students are free to choose their stay abroad. The "Internationalization of Universities" certificate we obtained from the German Rectors' Conference underscores our international orientation. The htw saar has been an associated partner in the university of the Greater Region since 2020.
We offer our students a wide range of opportunities to take on social responsibility. As part of projects, they develop solutions to specific issues, for example from non-profit organizations, and apply the knowledge they have acquired during their studies in practice. Students can also get involved in various mentoring programs such as first-semester mentoring. The social commitment pays off and can be an additional bonus when you start your career.
Spin-offs have a long tradition at our university. Some of these have grown into large and reputable companies. Already during the course of study there are many offers that introduce the topic of founding or self-employment. With the joint start-up center of htw saar and Fitt, start-up activities are optimally supported.
